The second week of June found St. John the Baptist Parish in Jordan a lively place as the Church experienced “A Week of Graces.” A solidly written and authentically Catholic summer program for children ages 6 to 12 was coordinated by Father Navil Rodrigues and Natali Murnion. The youngsters learned many connections originating in the Old Testament that ultimately led up to our present day Sacrifice of the Mass. The workbook instructed by Wendy Murnion, crafts guided by Val Murnion and Sonja Turner, longs led by Thelma Green, Beth Murnion and Julie Phipps, skits performed under the direction of Shanna Murnion, and snacks provided by Lisa Phipps all brought the program together in a very creative and memorable way. Toni Murnion spent the week teaching the preschoolers, while Ava Kreider and Mackenzie Murnion kept the toddlers under control. All had a wonderful time as we joined together to learn and celebrate the treasure of our Catholic faith. More information can be found at weekofgraces.com.
