Youth and Young Adult Ministry Endowment
Youth are the future of the Catholic Church and our diocese has new energy and resources being directed toward this vital ministry which is so in need. This endowment supports the personnel and programs which are resources for the formation, growth and renewal of our youth and young adults.
Seminarian Education Endowment (Vocations)
Our diocese needs more seminarians. This endowment helps to provide an essential and perpetual source of revenue to meet the ever-increasing educational costs of seminarians preparing to serve the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings.
Priest Retirement Endowment
The Diocese of Great Falls-Billings is vast – covering more than 94,000 square miles. Many priests have served faithfully across this enormous territory, bringing Sacraments and the Word to many of our communities. Earnings from this endowent provide a monthly pension to those faithful diocesan priests who gave their all for Christ and for us.
Parish Assistance Endowment
This is our newest endowment and one many people in financially sound parishes are interested in supporting. Established by a northeastern Montana donor, earnings from this endowment are available to assist any parish which finds itself in need of support beyond its own parish resources. Once this endowment reaches the size needed for minimum distributions, parishes will be invited to submit a simple application for funding and grants will be made to those in greatest need. “Caring for each other in our own backyard”could be the name of this endowment!
Your Own Parish Endowment
Some parishes have their own endowments that can provide a dependable source of funds to underwrite parish programs, operations and ministries from which a parish can faithfully budget each year. Parish endowments help ensure the long-term viability of a particular church and Catholic community.
Bishop’s Endowment
This important endowment supports the Bishop’s ministry with funds to address the greatest religioius and charitable needs of our diocese. This provides our Bishop with the greatest flexibility to meet important needs of our diocese.
St. Thomas Catholic Camp Endowment
Provides for the ongoing structural, programming and participant needs of this wonderful camp nestled in the beautiful Little Belt Mountains. St. Thomas Camp offers opportunities for excellent spirutal, physcial, faith and friend-forming experiences. The camp serves children and teens 5th through 12th grades in a safe and healthy environment with well-trained staff and creative programming.
Tribunal Endowment
This endowment supports the ministry of our diocese which assists families and couples in our diocese, including those in hurting marriages or who are seeking annulments.
Diocesan Spiritual Growth Endowment
Supports the program and institutions of the diocese that are resources for spiritual educaton, growth and renewal.
Another Idea You May Consider
Start a new “named” endowment (for example, a “Smith Family Endowment” or “Jane Smith Memorial Endowment” to benefit your parish, a particular diocesan ministry, or a combination of ministries. Many of our parishioners have done this, in order to create a family legacy and/or honor a loved one who has passed.
