Capuchin Friar Conrad Heinen died on November 7, 2016. He was 91. Conrad was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1925, the son of Arnold Heinen and Theresa Vogel. He was invested with the Capuchin habit in 1958 and perpetually professed in 1962. He served in formation ministry for six years before beginning Native American ministry in Montana, where he served from 1976 until his retirement in 1996.

Conrad is survived by three sisters: JoAnn Godkin of Greenfield WI; Florence Ullrich of Knoxville TN; and Terry Jarosz of Franklin WI; a brother, John of Brookfield WI; as well as his Capuchin brothers with whom he lived, prayed and ministered during the past 58 years.

Visitation was Saturday, November 12, 2016, at St. Joseph Parish (404 W. Lawrence St. Appleton, WI) at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. His burial was Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Mt. Calvary, WI. O’Connel Funeral Home of Little Chute, WI, was in charge of arrangements.
