On October 17th & 18th, Catholic teachers and administrators will be gathering at Saint Francis Catholic School in Billings for their biennial Catholic Teacher Days. On Thursday the 17th, the religion teachers will be gathering for catechetical formation from Sophia Press, the publisher of their religion textbooks. That night, all the teachers and administrators will be hearing a keynote from Jodee Blanco, the New York Times bestselling author, who will talk about bullying and communication. Survivor, expert and activist Jodee Blanco is one of the country’s pre-eminent voices on the subject of school bullying. She is the author of The New York Times bestseller, Please Stop Laughing At Me… One Woman’s Inspirational Story.

On Friday, the teachers and administrators will begin the day with Mass at St. Thomas celebrated by Bishop Warfel and then will attend a variety of professional development sessions on topics such as dealing with different learning styles, inspiring teaching methods, and using test data. The two-day gathering will provide our teachers with the chance to connect with other Catholic school teachers and strengthen their sense of community.
