The Knights of Columbus Council #1644 of St. Gabriel’s, Chinook, MT dedicated a reflective monument for the unborn. The Knights of Columbus District Deputy, Frank LaTray, in conjunction with his pastor, Rev. Father Michael Schneider, have been soliciting the help of many Chinook community residents to develop the project. There have been several shared comments from people who have visited the site already as to their appreciation for this monument. It has two benches on a 20’ X 20’ pad. The monument is in the form of a teardrop and has the image of a baby cradled in a hand on one side, with a prayer for the unborn on the opposite side. The memorial was blessed and dedicated on 21 July 2024 following the Knights of Columbus of Montana’s mid-year state meeting that was held in Havre with a number of the State Officers and the Supreme Representative from Wisconsin, Fraternal Trainer Jon Olson, and Sean Wiley from North Carolina who spoke on the Save the Stork program whose mission is to create a story of hope and empowerment for every woman facing an unplanned pregnancy.
