Frater Ignatius (Braydn) Harsha grew up in the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings in Columbus, Montana with his three siblings, Keagan, Kacey and Wesley. It is with great joy that they, along with his parents, Harry and Jeanne Harsha, announce his upcoming ordination to the priesthood. He attended St. Mary’s Church and was an active member, helping as an altar server and participating in the music ministry. Following his high school graduation, he attended Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana. There, he was in preformation with Holy Cross, discerning a vocation to the priesthood. Upon graduation from the University, he spent a year working at the Subiaco Academy, a Catholic boarding school in Subiaco, Arkansas. He then went on to actively pursue his calling. He entered the Norbertine Community at St. Michaels Abbey in California in 2013. After much prayer and study (including four years of theology at the Toronto Oratory in Canada) Frater Ignatius professed his solemn vows in 2020. The past two years, he furthered his education in Rome, Italy. On June 25, 2022, Frater Ignatius Harsha, together with Frater Louis Hager, will be ordained priests by Most Reverend Bishop Marc Trudeau at the abbey Church at St. Michaels Abbey in Silverado, California. They are both humbled and appreciative of your prayers. For more information on the Norbertines, please check out stmichaelsabbey.com.
