Nearly all the “extern” priests in ministry at the churches in our dioceses gathered at the Chancery in Great Falls for a two-day in-service led by Bishop Warfel. These priests come from another diocese or a religious order to serve for a period between six and ten years. The in-service dealt with the Liturgical Policies, Temporal Affairs, the Care and Share Appeal, our Safe and Sacred Program, and our Political Policy. The Bishop also listened to the experience, joys, and challenges of their ministry to the Catholics of Central and Eastern Montana. Those who participated were:
Fr. Callistus Igwenagu, a priest of the Diocese of Awka, Nigeria, who serves as Parochial Vicar at St. Matthew in Sidney, St. Bernard in Charlie Creek, St. Catherine in Fairview, St. Teresa in Lambert, and St. Michael in Savage.
- Fr. Rodrigo Mingollo, a priest of the Diocese of Richmond, Virginia who serves at St. Mark in Belt, Holy Trinity in Centerville, and St. Mary in Raynesford.
- Fr. Silvester Anthonysamy, HGN, a member of the Herald of Good News Religious Order, who serves as Parochial Vicar at St. Ann Cathedral in Great Falls.
- Fr. Anthony Kumar, HGN a member of the Herald of Good News Religious Order who serves at Immaculate Conception in Forsyth, St. Margaret Mary in Colstrip and St. Joseph in Hysham.
- Fr. Mohanraj Arockia, HGN a member of the Herald of Good News Religious Order, who serves at Immaculate Conception in Ft. Benton and St. Margaret in Geraldine.
- Fr. Amulraj Yedanapalli, HGN who serves a member of the Herald of Good News Religious Order who serves at St. Benedict in Roundup, St Theresa in Broadview, Our Lady of Mercy in Melstone, St. Mathias in Rygate, and St. Aloysius in Winnett.
- Fr. Thomas Selvaraj, HGN, a member of the Herald of Good News Religious Order, who serves at St. Joseph in Hardin and St. Mary in Custer.
- Fr. Philip Chinnappan, HGN, a member of the Herald of Good News Religious Order who serves at St. John in Baker, St. Joan of Arc in Elalaka, and St. Anthony in Plevna.
- Fr. Herbert Magaso, priest of the Diocese of Dipolog, Philippines, who serves at St. Mary in Chester, Our Lady of Ransom in Hingham, and Sacred Heart in Inverness.
- Fr. Jose Panickomveli, a priest from the diocese of Khandwa, India, who serves the churches on the Ft. Belknap Reservation, St. Paul Mission Parish in Hays, St. Thomas in Lodgepole, Sacred Heart in Fort Belknap.
- Fr. Felix Nayak, who recently returned to our diocese and serves as Parochial Vicar of St. Mary in Livingston, St. Joseph in Big Timber, St. Margaret in Clyde Park, and St. William in Gardiner.
- Fr. Babu Muttickal, a priest of the Diocese of Kattapuram, India who is in temporary ministry and in residence at Sacred Heart in Miles City.
