St. Thomas Camp Makes Positive Changes for 2015

It’s a new day for St. Thomas Camp this year as we reopened Summer Camp for 2015! The first week of camp began with Teen Leadership Week for high school young men and young women guided by a group of 10 young adult counselors from around the country. Leadership this year is by Camp Manager, Jessica Packard, a student at Wichita State University and Kitchen Manager/ Counselor, Daniel Skinner, a student at the University of Kansas.
St. Thomas has made many positive changes for this year. Increased Masses on Sundays and Wednesdays, service projects that have challenged teens, a new Music Minister and increased the fun for kids from entering grades 5-12 with the theme of “Play Hard, Pray Harder” are all part
of the new St. Thomas Catholic Summer Camp.

St. Thomas Camp is a year-round camp facility, available for Retreats, Ski Trips, Family Reunions and other events. Registration is still open for Summer Camp until July 31 online at diocesegfb.org. Other events can be scheduled by calling 406-236-5385

deMoll Hired as New Director for Youth and Young Adult Ministry

After many months of searching, the diocese now has a new Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry beginning work this summer. Seasoned Youth Minister, Kenn deMoll, from Westminster, Maryland would say that his primary vocation is husband to Nicole and father of three young children under four years old. He is also a graduate of Dickenson College and the Life Teen Area Contact for Maryland. Kenn is looking forward to meeting all of the Youth Ministry Staff and Volunteers as soon as possible and expects to be on the road more than in the office. He has great energy, experience and ideas to bring to the position and we look forward to welcoming the deMoll’s to Great Falls.
