St. Vincent Christmas Food boxes for the Poor

There were both smiles and tears as Bishop Warfel blessed the 380 boxes at the St. Vincent de Paul Store in Great Falls, which each contained ALL the fixings for a Christmas dinner (and then some). Members of Great Falls Council #1493 joined others in the community for three days to gather, box, distribute, and, in 40 cases, even deliver the food items to the registered poor in the community. Santa and a chorus built the mood, and presents were even added to many of the families boxes to help ensure a blessed holiday. The entire effort included students from Great Falls Central Catholic High School and the scouts from Troop # 1 from Holy Spirit Parish as well as many local volunteers and the entire St Vincent’s crew.
