St. Matthews hosted an area Junior High youth dance for Halloween on October 28, 2016. Students enjoyed the music and a light show, and snacked on nachos, popcorn and cookies. The St. Matthew’s youth had decorated the gym and multipurpose room for the event. This wouldn’t have been possible without the assistance of parishioners who chaperoned and served from the kitchen.

On Wednesday, November 2, the Junior and Senior High youth traveled to the Sidney cemetery and circling Father Ned Shinnick’s grave, had a prayer service, remembering the saints and souls who went before us. Afterwards they returned to the Parish Center for sandwiches, chips and cookies, donated by parents who provide a meal for the Wednesday evening classes.
