On June 17, 2015, the owners of McDonald’s Restaurant in Sidney, Robert and Karina Kenney, gave a percentage of sales to benefit Father Ned Shinnick’s medical expenses. Father Jim O’Neil and Con Donovan, from the Knights of Columbus Council # 3002, greeted customers from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Many stopped to visit Father Ned who also was present. The Knights had also hosted a pancake luncheon and silent auction at St. Matthew’s parish center for Father Ned’s benefit, which served over 700 from the community where Father Ned Shinnick is well known and loved for his hospital ministry for all patients.
