1. January 31, 2016, Council 1493 in Great Falls had a Benefit Breakfast for the Knight Mike Diekhans family (cancer recovery). About 450 people participated in breakfast at the K C Hall and helped raise over $13,000.
2. February 2, 2016 – Pro-life appreciation Dinner. Three guest-speakers attended the Mardi Gras theme dinner with the topic “Celebrate 40 Days for Life.” There were 78 invited guests with children. This annual dinner was hosted at the KC Hall by Knights, a FREE dinner, and the Knights furnished everyone copies of the new COLUMBIA magazine with five articles by nationally rated pro-life authors.
3. K of C Hoop-Shoot – 129 children from Great Falls participated in the contest. The top 12 went to District, and 7 of those went on to State/national.
4. February 2, 2016 – Special Olympics Breakfast (food all donated by the Knights of Columbus Council # 1493) $ 5.00 gets Breakfast and a FREE $5.00 Special Olympics Chevy truck ticket or Buy a $ 5.00 Special Olympics truck ticket and get a free breakfast Win/Win
5. On February 6, 2016, a special Knights of Columbus / Scottish Rite Dinner was held with nearly 100 in attendance. Great Falls Councils 1493 and 9395 were hosted with wives to a free dinner and shared fraternity and ideas for the community. The Knights will host a similar dinner next year; hundreds of dollars were donated by enthusiastic members from both groups that evening.
