Planning for retirement is always a good and responsible thing to do. Planning your future burial arrangements, in advance, is a good and responsible thing to do too. I cannot begin to say how many families I have helped over the last few years that have benefitted from prepaying for future burial arrangements. The savings were enormous and comforted the family greatly. The relief on their faces when I informed them all costs had been prepaid and they were not responsible for any burial expenses was priceless.
For a burial to occur it requires 4 things: 1st is a grave or a niche, 2nd is a burial vault for a casket or an urn vault for a cremation urn, 3rd is the open & closing of the grave or niche, and 4th is the grave marker/monument or nameplate. Mount Olivet Cemetery offers flexible payment plans at 0.00% interest over 12, 24, 36, or 48 months for anyone interested in making payments. The term length depends on the amount of the balance. We also offer a 5% Veteran discount. The prices are locked in at the time the agreement is signed and in place. This is important because if someone dies in the future when the prices have increased, the current prices do not affect them because they locked in their price at the time of their original agreement. This is the main benefit of preplanning. Other benefits include easing any future burden on family members, you can decide for yourself what you want not to mention the comfort & sense of wellbeing you will feel knowing your arrangements are all in place.
