On March 21-22, 2015, St. Leo the Great Parish in Lewistown hosted a parish mission led by Pete Espil and Jamie Thietten-Espil.

There was a youth gathering on Saturday evening, and young people from grades 7 through 12 had a very inspirational time. The parish mission was conducted Sunday and Monday evenings. Each evening a potluck supper was held, and then two short presentations by Pete and Jaimie.

Jaimie used her beautiful voice for singing and Pete his extensive understanding of the Roman Catholic Faith to both teach and inspire people from very young to older parishioners. Pete spoke on the beatitudes as requested by the Pastor of St. Leo’s. This topic was chosen from a list of presentations that Pete is prepared to give.

One grandmother said she was moved by her ten year old grandson setting on the edge of his seat all through the Sunday evening presentations.

Both Jaimie and Pete are converts to the Roman Catholic Faith. Pete has been a youth pastor for sixteen years and he is presently a youth pastor at the St. John’s Student Center at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. Pete has nineteen years of experience working with youth. He works with jvenile delinquents on a regular basis and is very passionate about his faith and sharing with youth. Jaimie has the most beautiful voice and when she sings it is very inspiring – like listening to angels sing.
