The Knights of Columbus named Miles City Knight Eugene Bankey the Large Council Knight of the Year at its recent 2015 Convention in Bozeman. Eugene is a member of Miles City Knights of Columbus Council 1518. The Knight of the Year is awarded to a Knight that has shown exemplary dedication and service to his Council, Parish and Community.
As a member of the Knights of Columbus, Eugene has been instrumental in promoting many charitable programs in Miles City. He has assisted local food bank and soup kitchen by raising vegetables in a community garden, Eugene is the Eastern Montana co-chair for the drug awareness program and participates in the Bucking Horse Parade and serves on the Parish Board and the Parish School Board. Eugene has been a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 40 years.
