Synopsis of event: The purpose of this activity was to engage the talents of local young people with the goal that they reach a deeper understanding of the true meaning of the Christmas season, and that their artwork enhance others to also remember the “Christian reason for the season”. Thirty-one elementary students from Holy Spirit Catholic School and the parish’s Elementary Faith Formation participated in this event.
A panel of judges selected the winning poster in each of the three age group and in turn were advanced to district-level judging. First-place entry for each of the three-age groups were determined and monetary awards given to the selected winners, along a certificate and gift card presented to all contestant.
