Sunday, October 8 from 12 – 2:30 pm at Holy Spirit Parish Hall

Presenter: Father Doug Krings

Fr. Doug the newly appointed pastor at Holy Spirit Parish in Great Falls, will present a practical reflection utilizing “Into the Breach” an Apostolic Exhortation to Catholic Men written by Most Rev. Thomas J. Olmsted, Bishop of Phoenix. Each attendee will go home with a copy of “Into the Breach” with a reflection guide provided by the Knights of Columbus. Lunch will be served immediately following the 11:00 a.m. Mass and the presentation will begin at 12:30 p.m. There is no cost to participants for the Day of Prayer. Come one, come all! Come from the field, forest, and football! Fr. Doug was ordained in 2013. Previously, he has been the pastor at St. Benedict’s parish in Roundup for 4 years.

Fr. Doug will offer encouragement, challenge, and a calling forth for every willing man. Each of us has a mission from Christ, expressed as we are sent forth from the Eucharistic Table at Mass.

He will address these questions:
What does it mean to be a Christian (Catholic) Man?
How does a Catholic man love?
Why is fatherhood, fully understood, so crucial for every man?

History of the Men’s Day of Prayer:
Mike Davis along with Jim Milos spearheaded the first Men’s Day of Prayer as a part of the Parish Nurses of Holy Spirit. The response was a great success! Several comments from the day were, “very interesting and informative… I was glad I came… It was good to be with Christian men…well organized…better than expected…and let’s do it again!”
