On October 4, 2015, the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, parishioners of St. Ann Cathedral gathered in the cathedral parking lot with their dogs of every shape and size for the annual Blessing of the Animals ceremony, led by Pastor Father Oliver J. Doyle. Approximately thirty people participated in the prayers, reflections, and socializing, and all of the dogs received a liberal sprinkling of holy water.
