For the third consecutive year members of Council #9395 of the Knights of Columbus were fortunate to be able to help take the bite out of winter for Great Falls area children with the recent donation of new winter coats through the Knights of Columbus “Coats for Kids” winter coats give-away program.

“Knights of Columbus Councils throughout the country helped children with donations of thousands of winter coats and we were just part of this charitable program,” said Kenneth McGuire, Council Youth Program Director. “Closer to home, nearly three hundred new winter coats were handed out once this year.”

Over the past several years the Council has donated nearly five hundred new winter coats to youth in need, including many staying in local shelter centers and homes.

“We are most grateful and appreciative of the continued financial support from a local merchant for their donations to help affray the purchase cost of the winter coats,” added Sylvester Barros, Council Grand Knight. “It’s that support, as well as that of our council Knights that make this charitable program possible.”
