An opportunity for Council Knights to stand tall and speak out against the evils of abortion

In a very cold Sunday morning in Great Falls, Knights from Council 9395 came together and gathered near the Memorial of the Unborn monument located within the Mount Olivet Cemetery, in observation of this event and held a special prayer session. Once there, Knights were joined by a crowd of supporters, which included public officials, health care workers, support groups and agencies and religious entities. Some of those present were representing the Lutherans for Life organization, Echoz Pregnancy Care Center, Great Falls Catholics for Life, and various other religious prayer groups and clergy.

Also present were numerous chaplains and pastors from numerous local parishes and churches, which included the base chapel priest from the Malmstrom Air Force Base, Father John Reutemann.

Within the ranks were pro-life supporters from the local Central Catholic High School, consisting of several dozen high school students along with local culture of life groups.

At the beginning at this assembly of anti-abortion believers, prayers were recited, followed by speeches supporting pro-life efforts and support, then songs were song and pro-life news provided to those at the gathering.

Approximately 120 supporters from all walks of life, nationalities, genders and age groups, came together to rally against abortion in this peaceful and very moving demonstration.

Following the speeches, a wreath laying ceremony was conducted by the Grand Knight from Council 9395 and flanked by several members of the local 4th Degree Assembly 592’s Color Guard. A wreath was placed on the Memorial of the Unborn monument by Grand Knight Barros to commemorate this event.
