Billings Catholic Schools Week

At the Catholic Schools Week All-System Mass celebrated by Bishop Warfel, Billings Catholic Schools announced the winners of the 2016 Billings Catholic Schools Awards of Excellence. Winners were, L-R: Outstanding Alumnus Jean Tenge Jacques ’62, Volunteer of the Year Rita Turley, Educator of the Year Dr. Craig Pierson, and Business Sponsor of the Year Saint Vincent Health Care and the SVHC Foundation represented by Dennis Sulser and Tracy Neary. Congratulations to the winners!

Chance Robinson ’13 was presented with the Billings Catholic Schools 2016 Outstanding Young Alumnus award following Mass at Billings Central Catholic High School. Since graduating in 2013, Chance has created art that can be seen across the United States and around the world, as well as throughout the city of Billings. Chance has made a tremendous impact as an artist, giving donations of his work that have raised over $175,000 for Billings Catholic Schools and other non-profits in Billings. Chance’s murals grace several of the walls at Billings Central, and after receiving the award, he spent time with current art students at the school giving them advice on how to succeed as an artist. Chance credits his success to his family and others who have supported and inspired him, as well as to the community connection that he has always fostered through his art.
