Memorial Day mass will be celebrated at the McLaughlin Chapel located in the center of Mount Olivet Cemetery on Monday, May 29th, 2023. Bishop Warfel will be the celebrant and mass will begin at 10:00am. The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus will also be present, and all are welcome to attend.
The McLaughlin Chapel will be available during the summer months for anyone interested in a committal service for their loved one. Contact the cemetery office for cost and availability.
Decorating guideline brochures placed through the cemetery. The main guidelines to be aware of are to make sure that decorations are not glass or of glass type material. No antlers, rebar, rocks, coins, marbles, etc. are to be placed on graves. We ask this because glass breaks and causes harm to people and wildlife. Antlers & rebar can flatten tires on equipment. Coins, rocks, etc. damage mowers and become flying projectiles that may hit someone, damage buildings and/or monuments. We want Mount Olivet Cemetery to be a safe environment.
Anyone interested in pre-planning their burial arrangements or just have questions, are encouraged to contact the cemetery office. The process is simple and very relaxed. Interest free payment plans are also available. Grave location and some research services are available for both cemeteries. Office Contact is Eric Spragg, Family service Advisor, at 406-453-8251
Office hours are Mon. – Thur. 8:30-5:00 and Friday 8:30-Noon unless otherwise noted and Saturday by appointment.
