2017 St. Pius X Fleece Blanket Project

For the seventh year in a row, St. Pius X parishioners donated enough fleece material for 63 hand tied blankets. This year’s recipient was the Lockwood Fire Department & Rescue Services. Parishioners came together on November 11 to tie the blankets, have them blessed by Sister Clara Scherr, SCL, and handed them to the Lockwood Fire Chief John Staley. The coordinator of this parish-wide program has been Jean Eakin, assisted by the Parish Council of Catholic Women.
