The 2015 Care and Share Campaign drew to a close October 31 and Bishop Warfel would like to thank ALL who gave toward this annual appeal in support of the ministries of our diocese:
As members of the Church, we each share, in some way, the responsibility of taking Christ “to the ends of the earth.” I thank you for seriously considering this Gospel precept and how you answered the call to participate in the mission of the Church. Also, I received quite a few prayer requests during the campaign on the prayer cards that were provided. I placed them on the altar in the chapel where I celebrate Mass when at home. These prayer intentions were regularly remembered in my prayers at Mass.
81% of the 2015 Care and Share goal was met by October 31, 2015. Every church in our diocese receives a dollar goal as its part of the annual Care and Share campaign and 51% of churches met or exceeded those goals. Your gifts for Care and Share have all been put to work, making a great difference for the Church in our diocese. Bishop Warfel notes,
Care and Share donations do have an impact on the effectiveness of diocesan service to parishioners throughout eastern Montana. Through the ministry of the Bishop, the Office of Ministry, Diaconate Formation, Office of Stewardship, Montana Catholic Conference, Catholic Social Services of Montana, the Marriage Tribunal, the Business Office and the Superintendent of Catholic Schools the pastoral and spiritual needs of many are addressed.
Those parishes who haven’t yet met their 2015 goals will continue to promote giving to this important appeal in coming weeks. Please give generously as you are able. Thank you again and God bless you for providing support to our entire diocese!
